(This was taken on Christmas Eve. Grandma had made bluberry pie for Mike and Bryce LOVED it. And of course he REALLY needed a haircut. Of course.)

Come on Spring! Bryce is ready for ya!

He started practicing playing with water, puddles, and sand the other night. The weather has been so unpredictable this year. I guess we can count on it being chilly but it warms up and then WHAM! Chilly again.
There was a puddle that had collected from the storm that lasted all day on Friday so he spotted it and game on.
He was trying to splash me while I took pictures so I was able to get some great smiles and expressions from him. The camera and my pants and shirt took the brunt of the splash attack.
We had fun and although it was a bit chilly, we sucked it up and he eventually ended up with no pants on (they were soaked) and in the sandbox.

Mo' Melon Please!
Bryce decided to welcome the warm weather by celebrating with......a watermelon.
Daddy thought it would be "fun" if we let him eat it off the rine and I added the straw to make for a "fun" evening snack/activity.
Bryce most definitely thought it was "FUN!!!!"
He must have worked on that thing for 40 minutes! He had a spoon to scoop it out, used his teeth to bite a chunk off, and then the straw was a nice little bonus- Nothin' like fresh, 100% watermelon juice!
The shirt eventually needed to come off and was now stained pink but I have smartened up and put a towel down underneath his toosh to protect the stool.
Daddy then gave him some boiled peanuts which he LOVES and so the evening snack was complete.
SO, welcome Spring! Good-bye entirely-too-long-way-below-normal-but-will-be-missed-when-it-is-100-degrees-out-for-the-next-10-months weather. :)
