I thought I should do the obvious and post some pictures of Bryce (yes, I figured it out...had to google it). But, we are going to have to start with recent pictures and work our way back to when he was just a wee lad. I only have current photos on this computer so I hope you liked the concept of Benjamin Button (Bryce is much cuter than Brad Pitt...difficult to believe, but oh so true) because we are starting with a 2 weeks-ago-photo.
Bryce was 16 months old in this picture. We went to the beach for the first time...I know, I know, we live in Florida, have beaches within an hour of us and the poor kid has never seen the white sand and rolling tide! Don't worry though, as white as he is now (I call him Powder), Daddy was a "surfer" and he will be a tan, raccoon-eyed, Banana boat smellin', beach dude one day. Thought the shirt would get his foot in the door.
My MIL's aunt and uncle come down twice a year and stay in Englewood for a month. We finally made it down there, stayed not in their condo but at a cute little beach house (AKA trailer on the water) on Saturday night leaving Sunday. Bryce absolutely loved it!! If this picture had sound he would be saying "OOOOOOHHHHH!" I thought he was going to be real timid but he went right up to the water and marched around in the wet sand. Loved it. It was absolutely amazing to watch him explore his new surroundings and pick up shells...and try to eat them (typical).
We played on the beach, made sand castles with Grandma, went hunting for sharks teeth...they're all over the beach and when Pauline (MIL's aunt) is here, she looks for these petrified shark's teeth while Paul (MIL's uncle) fishes off of the beach. I was hooked. We had some good finds.

I was hooked. We had some good finds. My dorky (love ya Mike) husband bought a metal detector (no he's not in his early 60's, retired and a member of AARP) and was busy looking for buried treasures. Won't be quitting my job anytime soon! His Dad found a sterling silver medallion and Mike found a couple pieces of rusty metal. Very exciting.
Lots of sunscreen later, Bryce was a mer-man and moved up the ranks from tourist (snowbyrd-couldn't resist!) to beach bum! Hang ten Bryce!
